Flow Pilates is a sanctuary designed for mindful movement. We blend classical principles with contemporary transitions to offer a practice that is as challenging as it is restorative.
With only eight reformers in our studio, we ensure an intimate experience where every adjustment is personalized. Explore our pricing options or view the class schedule to reserve your spot.
Unlike mat Pilates or most gym workouts, the reformer uses a spring-resistance system that supports and challenges your body simultaneously - making it uniquely effective for building deep core strength, improving posture, and rehabilitating injuries. The carriage's controlled movement trains muscles through their full range of motion, creating long, functional strength that translates directly into how you move, stand, and feel every day.
Spring resistance reaches stabilizing muscles that free weights can't access - building the foundation your whole body depends on.
The moving carriage loads joints through their complete range of motion, creating lasting flexibility that static stretching rarely achieves.
Springs can assist or resist - making the same machine suitable whether you're rebuilding after injury or training at an advanced level.
Four moments that make up your first Flow Pilates experience.
Fitted leggings and a close-fitting top - your instructor needs to see your alignment. Grip socks are required (pick up a pair at the desk if needed). Eat lightly beforehand and plan to arrive 10 minutes early.
Flow Pilates is intentionally small - 8 reformers in a light, airy space on Franklin Street. Your instructor will greet you, orient you to the equipment, and note any injuries or areas to focus on.
Every movement can be scaled up or down. Your instructor moves through the room throughout class - adjusting springs, cueing your breath, offering modifications. You'll feel muscles you didn't know you had.
Most first-timers feel released rather than exhausted. Some muscle awareness over 24-48 hours is normal. Come back within the week while the movement patterns are still fresh.
If you're looking for a studio that truly transforms the way you move, think, and feel in your body, this is the place. The attention to detail and personalized guidance make all the difference.
The place looks amazing! The open space is incredibly light, airy, and spacious with beautiful, brand-new equipment. It creates such a calming atmosphere for practice.
I have experienced many Pilates studios over the years, both as a student and an instructor, and the standard here is exceptional. A truly wonderful environment to practice and grow.
Absolutely wonderful experience. The instruction is top-notch and the community feel is exactly what I was looking for in a boutique studio.
We love welcoming new students to the practice. We recommend starting with our Intro 3-Pack, which gives you the perfect opportunity to find your rhythm. Our "Open Level" classes are designed to introduce you to the equipment and the principles of control and breath.
Wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows you to move freely- think leggings and a fitted tank or tee.
Avoid clothing with zippers or bulky seams to protect the Reformer equipment.
All of our classes are listed as "Open Level", and that's intentional. At Flow Pilates, our instructors don't teach to the middle of the room. They teach each person in it. Whether you're stepping onto a reformer for the first time or you've been practicing for years, your instructor will adjust spring resistance, range of motion, and modifications in real time to match your body and your capability that day. You never need to worry about holding the class back. Everyone is moving at their own best.
Congratulations! Pilates is a wonderful way to support your body during pregnancy. If you have a consistent practice, you are welcome to continue with modifications. Please let your instructor know before class begins so we can keep you and your baby safe. If you are new to Pilates or in your third trimester, we recommend reaching out to us first to discuss the best options for you.
Always consult your healthcare provider before beginning or continuing an exercise program during pregnancy.
We understand that life happens. However, for your safety and to minimize disruption to the class flow, we cannot admit students more than 7 minutes after class has started. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early to settle in, put on your grip socks, and breathe before we begin.
To help keep Reformer Pilates classes at Flow Pilates accessible to everyone, we have a 24-hour cancellation policy.
You can manage all bookings and cancellations directly through our online schedule.
